I want to THANKs to my son, and all Our Men, Women, Children, Husbands, Wives who are there fighting. My son is there for the second time to help. I'm frustrated with the media like my son as they don't cover anything except the bad instead of looking at the good. My own son a SGT for the Army in Iraq NOW AGAIN fighting for ours and others freedom. My son tells me almost daily if possible that things are looking better. His favorite story is when they were out questioning a village, some young children were around them they were giving them a treat, all a sudden a little girl came up and hung on to his leg, happy to have him around. Her own brother couldn't take her away from my son and he'll never forget that smile. I think everyone needs to be Thankful and Appreciative as WAR has gone on for decades. When it is our time to go and our number is up if we are in war situation or are at home we will go. So when someone dies from a heart attack, or a small child is chosen to be an angel do we blame Bush? They are not only warned of the physical risks, but also of the emotional consequences....Hmmmm, just like any other invasive procedure. They know what they are getting into, and if they regret it afterwards, they were warned. I don't necessarily agree, nor disagree with this subject. Abortion should be allowed, but only for a certain amount of time during the pregnancy. Get the government "out" of education”? Do we have a taker to cover the expenses of EVERY child in our nation to being educated! Not everyone can afford. Public money supports our school systems! You can not take the government out of something that they financially support. Student loans for first grade? How about just stating that you would also prefer for only men to be educated as well.... since you reside mentally in the 1800’s? Not every parent has money for college, not every parent has financial support for books, or tuition assistance for private education facilities. Some of us obviously are too consumed with feeding and clothing our families, and ensuring that they have proper domiciles to reside in. We reside in America…it’s too bad that we do not stress the imperativeness of education as our overseas competitors who often speak multi languages by kindergarten in order to communicate with their foreign affiliates. Teachers are not allowed to teach, in present day because parents are too busy being ghetto hoodrats, hustlers, and hoochies, who show up at school not for PTA, but to cuss out the teacher who dared condemn their child for breaking the rules. Teachers are barely able to further care about their students, because parents are too consumed in their daily lives enveloped in their phone conversations to pay attention to their children’s homework and demeanors which are suffering with poor performance and behaviors due to their ample lack of communication and family values. Since the parents are not raising our nations children…someone has to try, and this is where the school systems come into play, attempting meagerly to educate our society for the future, rather than to allow us all to fall flat on our face. When there is no guidance in the home, someone has to at least try….without the government ensuring that individuals are educated where do you foresee our country being? Reading these comments saddens me. I really wish people would educate themselves before speaking about a particular subject.

I am a full time student and work 2 part time jobs (20-30 hrs/week). I have health insurance through my father, but it doesn't cover a physician that is "out of network". After trying to be "responsible for my own healthcare costs" and looking into getting my own coverage, I realized it would cost $700/month for a plan that had affordable copays and annual deductibles that weren't in excess of $1000. How can I afford that? It's not even a question of being irresponsible about my health insurance, and it surely isn't about me being LAZY.

And since when did we start hating human beings so much? We're fighting this war in Iraq supposedly and ultimately to improve the quality of life for citizens there. We help Africa and other areas of the world with healthcare. No one is ever opposed to that. Why do the American people hate each other so much? So we have a few lazy people who want free or low cost healthcare. So what? We also have hardworking people that would like to afford their healthcare. Do we want to deny them that because we have so much hatred for "lazy, unemployed" people?

From the last 2 elections, it seemed to me most of the American people were very religious. I thought that that meant helping everyone - including those "lazy bums". We need to stop hating each other. Terrorists kill one another directly because of hate. We're doing it through inadequate, unaffordable healthcare for the lazy Americans that everyone despises. I think we need to debate what government in the US is supposed to be. We are supposed to be a Republic. Our founders were very wise. A limited federal government protecting the Sovereignty of the United States. The states are supposed to be able to decide themselves without restraint from the federal government. One size does not fit all. Unrestrained liberty and freedom are what made this country great and it can again be achieved if everyone would just wake up. Let us imagine for a moment that the Iraqi Security Forces, Iraqi Army, and the Iraqi Police do become properly trained, in part due to our boys training them. I have trained some first hand and will be going back to train more in December. That is the first step in them governing themselves as a Democratic country. If the people feel secure and the Iraqi's are taking amongst themselves to protect their own people/country from insurgents, well that would tell me that they're half way there. I do believe Iraq can and will become a Democratic nation. They can still have their religon play an integral part of their government while still being Democratic and free for the people to choose who leads them. The biggest problem I think they face right now is the ability to make good, rational decisions for the sake of their country.
