As a postscript, I found that Beta Recorder still has occasional dead-air takes even as late as 22 August 2008, but the Default and Alternate Recorders seem to have settled down, except in my troublesome LinUX lab (a rebuild is in order). Another pet peeve! When you're scrolling through your comments on your page and on your entries....I hate that we have to go all the way back up to the top to click on the "next" page number. It'd be nice to have the page number at the bottom where you've scrolled down to!!! 02/27/2008 16:14

I just thought of something that IRKS me on Bix! Okay, I wish there was some way that Bix could to through and clean up all the "crap" contests that folks seem to start just to be silly. No one enters and the listing is so cumbersome look through as it is! Like maybe the contests could be approved by Bix before becoming live. While I realize that would take too much time for the bix personnel, it would be nice! Or perhaps, they would go through and sweep the contests and clean them up from time to time. You have covered just about everything. Bix has some good ideas, but it's like they stopped in the middle and said, "This ought to be good enough." So far, for me, this has been good experience with the community here...lol...coming from one who's left twice. I hope no one has taken that personally. One thing I dislike about todays society is the tendency toward being impersonal. Bix has had staff contests, which, a couple of them were a riot, but when the community made comments about their entries, there were no replies, which made me think immediately, this business doesn't care about these people, and my opinion still hasn't changed. This place is run, as near as I can tell, on advertising, which tells me that it depends on the number of hits it recieves, and the more members it has, the better. I'm an old sixties hippy with a haircut, and I look around me and I see people's recordings bringing in hundreds of thousand of views. Don't you wonder how many of those lurkers actually hit on those ads with your videos on them? You should not feel defenseless. You should feel empowered. If you would all stick together and ask for change, you might get it then, but it's going to take a good percentage of you to get change. I get really frustrated with people who have the power to effect change and don't, but the real fault lies with with Bix. I've seen repairs here, but no improvements. This is the last time you'll see me make a comment like this. I just want to do my music and visit a little...lol...I don't ask for much. Maybe this will give some idea of what I'm about. A lot of good points,we need some kind of constitution.....I'm here to listen to pro quality singers as well as to have friends .... The ? is, how do you eliminate persons who can't sing?....But do it in a nice way...I'd be the 1st one to eliminate myself cause I can't sing....This is one major point to be addressed.....I cannot bear to listen to some singers I I've been very caustic at times...goose 02/06/2008 08:57
