Notwithstanding some momentary clipping on the microphone preamp, you really gave Streisand a run for the money this song. Enjoyed my listen. 08/26/2008 12:07
hello Mr. B.C.!!! Thanks so much for listening and your wonderful comment, plus the input regarding the mic! I really wish I could do something about it. God bless you always Mr. B.C.! c",) 08/26/2008 20:43
For you Yahoos interested in a history of best versions this Song, Heidwell did one which even more closely approaches Anne Wilson than did I (Entry 21899, still on file) in Contest 1948 "I LOVE THE 80s AUDIO KARAOKE CONTEST win an ipod" (ended 17 December 2006), that placed third of sixty-eight Entries. 07/30/2008 23:42
hello ms. beth!!! Thank you so much!!! when i listened to my recording, i found out that there was something wrong towards the end. Didn't know how to fix it. I just use a regular headphone and mic and i don't really know how to get the best out of it. thanks again!!! God bless you! c",) 07/28/2008 22:24
Thank you. I LOVE to put myself through challenging stuff; for me, Anne Wilson of Heart is only a warmup for a new arrangement of 1986-vintage Debbie Gibson I have as a contingency--Gibson shot up to C6 on the saxophone break of "Only in My Dreams" (ref: Atlantic 89322), and I'm anticipating that she'll be toasted at a future VH1 Honors. But then, didn't Shania go just as high on "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" (Mercury/PolyGram 172 126), and more often? 07/15/2008 09:10
Thank you. This was my first attempt at a gender-bender delivery; I was using Anne Wilson of Heart (a soprano) as the reference. It did provide me with raw data on the problems I need to fix before attempting a VH1 Honors contingency arrangement I have sequenced out (just in case they decide to toast Debbie Gibson, now Broadway star and patient advocate). 06/29/2008 07:21
You're quite welcome. This was my first attempt at nailing a song intended for a soprano (spec., Anne Wilson of Heart); it proved a useful warm-up for a much tougher contingency project I have in the works. 06/24/2008 09:11
Thank you. This first gender-bender attempt left a great white of a lot of room for improvement, but it's a start--I was using Anne Wilson's delivery with Heart as the reference. 06/18/2008 10:02
Thank you. This was my first gender-bender attempt, and I was trying to deliver as Anne Wilson did with Heart. This one left a great white of a lot of room for improvement. 06/18/2008 09:59
