The first one...it makes the video and lyrics that much more ironic...which is what love is sometimes like. The ups and downs, the good and the bad. One minute you think it's through, it's done...but then the sight of that special smile, the special smell, the special touch...takes you right back. The ending is sweet and quite honest. Honestly look at it as if you are talking to your friend that's in this situation. Why tell a girl to stay with an abusing "man"? Hey! It's just a music video! The choice is purely an asthetic one, what's best for the story. Fatal Dog is, of course, right in a politcally correct sense, but not everything has to be a moral statement about protecting people from themselves. If anything I would caution Kat from marketing herself in a way that invites people to think that they have some inside view of her personal world. If you doubt this just look at how many people, just on this website, seem to think that Ms. McPhee needs some kind of advise in her love life! LOL! She's probably only vaguely aware that this webpage even exists, much less consulting it before she decides what to put on that mini disc! Too funny!!! Do you have any idea of the number of women who told me in the middle of a domestic dispute, that it was "ALL OVER" and this time they meant it. Do you have any idea how many times I saw those women again; when they decided to come back to their abusive boyfriend or spouse? Unfortunately, too often, the last time I saw some of those women was when the coroner was zipping up the body bag. You sing about a relationship in which you were treated badly. There can be no other choice for this video other than for you to leave. Send the message Kat, send the message loud and clear, that a strong woman does not walk, she runs away from an abusive man.
