JOSH....WOW CONGRATS. So many talented and beautiful people in the contest. Even many, many, that never made it to the top 50. But wow, thats why the call it the music "BIZ" I GUESS. Its also a money maker for the companies. And Josh has the "it" factor (to me anyway) that comes across on film. More so than the original Bix entry.
Man...what a wonderful gift you have been given. My BEST to you Josh and to all the rest of the contestants. You are all awesome...and don't give up...and don't cop out. If its what you love...go for it.

Musique, I wish I could have heard more of the other contestants also, but wasn't that drummer a laugh riot. :D When Mike Dungan was saying that you have to be better than what is on the radio, I get where he is coming from, but I take that idea with a grain of salt. It's nice to say, but I don't see a lot of truth in it. I think a lot of people become singers not because their vocal abilities are so great, but because they have the look and marketability. And we need new people to take over when some of the singers get "past their prime" that's what I observe when I look at what kind of music is popular today. While I believe that the great ones are a little different, I really *don't* believe that that is what record executives look for at all. 09/03/2007 10:53

I think that the contestants should have at least 1 or maybe 2 weeks of singing for the judges. It's not really fair to pick a winner for this big prize and just listen to one song, but in this case a call back of three. Not that Josh isn't good, but I want to think something ironic..they wanted someone who sounded different than what you would hear normally, and I think he sounds an awful lot like everyone else on the radio.
