Terrie, I truly enjoyed your video. And I so enjoyed reading "the rest of the story". I salute your husband, you, and your family for the courage you've all displayed though your husbands trying ordeal. I can't even imagine. It's been a pleasure to get to know you better. I'm proud to have you as a bix friend. Wishing you sweet dreams always. Ken 11/08/2007 21:36
Thanks so much Ken, yeah it's been a really rough year and 2006 will go down as the very worst year of both of our lives but things seem to be getting better as well as his sight. Prayers certainly work and love is the best medicine. Hope you are really healthy with a whole bunch of it in your world!!! Hugs ;) 11/23/2007 06:26
Isnt it great?? Now I am really going crazy trying to think of it's successor contest to follow that one!! Speaking of which, why are you NOT in it???? 11/04/2007 05:14
Really great contest, Terri, so interesting. and...before anything ;) i have to say.. the shrug, almost more than the accent, gives you away as a Jersey girl ;) so cute. 10/16/2007 17:00
Nice to meet you Terri! This contest was a really great idea. What a wonderful way to get to meet people on this site. It was nice to hear a little about you and your family. There are some great people here for sure. I enjoyed listening to your singing very much and will from now on be watching for your new entries. Wonderful idea you had and thanks for this contest! Have a great day!!! :) 10/11/2007 10:10
You are very welcome Don. Yeah I agree that it was a good concept. I was surprised that it had not been done before. I am working on another "unique" style contest and although I planned to announce it today it might be another few days before I fine tune the concept and post it!! Be sure to join ok??? Hugz... 10/14/2007 06:08
Wow Terry Awesome.. I swear I had commented this when I watched, anyway I think thats great you having a cool family who built you a studio. you came up with a really great contest thanks for letting me enter 10/10/2007 08:13
Thanks James. I loved yours as well. Hard to believe how much weight you lost, God bless!! You have such a great voice...one question...did the weight loss change it in anyway??? Just curious ;) 10/14/2007 06:15
Great idea you came up with here, Terrie...I just need to muster up the courage to do this! I am still very self-concious in front of a web cam which is odd since I am very comfortable on a stage in front of thousands of people...Hard to explain...Anyhoo...I will try to get in on this one soon...Your video is great...you seem like such a cool lady and I'd love to hang out with you!! Reba is awesome...my friend Angela LOVES her...I love that song "Sweet Dreams"...I need to learn that to sing one day!! You were great!! Hugs to you!! Lisa :) 09/25/2007 21:57
That is too funny Sheldon!! My dogs usually seek shelter elsewhere and rarely come into my studio. I guess they compare my singing with shouting and think that it might be at them!!!! LOL 09/29/2007 05:44
Great singing and video....looks like fun. Will do as soon as get cam up and running. You are very funny and great personality its easy to see.And I loved you acappella.BTW: The comment about the dogs howling outside really happened once for me. WEll the howling wasn't for me (not that I'd admit.)lol But seriously my mom, aunt and sis were at my place...and I got them all singing on my karaoke machine. I also have this whole thing on video (OMG UTUBE here I come) and they were singing (trying) a James Taylor song "Handyman" with lots of come a come a come a....yea yea yeah. And it calls for some high notes which none could hit if they ran into them. After a few minutes singing (oooohhhhhh it was bad) I heard my two collies howling as if baying to the moon....and looked outside. And the dogs were directly outside the patio door looking straight up into the house, and were just howling
to beat the band. Which was where they were singing...by the patio door. So, they all stopped singing blaming one another for the dogs howlings. But believe me any one of them could get any dog howing...thats how bad these three sing. Separtely its unpleasant.
Together its actually painful...lol.So they'd stop singing for a few moments..the dogs would stop. Then they'd start singing again..and the dogs howled again. It was hysterical. ROFLBoy I'm glad none go into the Bix site...LOL.Peace out. Harmonee 09/23/2007 04:56
This is a wonderful video and a wonderful idea! I'd love to enter, but I've gotta do some rearranging of computers in order to get the one that works right downstairs to the internet hookup lol. It's very interesting indeed. You should have your own radio show. They try to keep us hillbillies off the airwaves haha. 09/22/2007 19:55
Thanks so much Cole, I can return that compliment EXACTLY for you, except for the woman part of course!! Love your main photo, your voice and your name logo. :) 09/22/2007 10:26
I guess I am a bit "interesting" Nicole. Most people say that I am very outgoing and for the most part I agree with them. HOWEVER I am very microphone shy these days. I can practice a song in the shower or in the car almost flawlessly but then when I put my mouth to the mic I freeze up. I was never like that. Singing isnt like riding a bike....it doesnt come back to you immediately!!! :( 09/29/2007 05:59
Hey Nicole...my Jersey life road map...
Was born in Belleville in 1965 and lived there till I was 20. Got my first apartment in Bloomfield when I was 21. Got married at 22 and me and Danny lived in Clifton. We had our first child in 1990 and then moved back to Belleville for another 3 years from 1991 till 1993 and then headed to Florida with our newborn son in 1994. My husband, Danny was born in Cedar Grove and spent some time in West Caldwell attending school. My mom lived in Toms River in Holiday City and then when my dad died in 1998 she moved down to Florida to join our neck of the woods. I miss Jersey's weather and I know how LUCKY you are right now with the changing of the leaves and the crisp night air, I warmly call "sweater weather"!! Enjoy it for me girl one sunny day runs into the next here in Florida :(
After my husband settles a lawsuit down here we are headed up to one of the Carolina's. In the meantime I shall live vicariously through friends and family up North!!! 09/22/2007 10:01
