I'm too scared to go by this place on Halloween. I can't afford anymore medication...especially for my heart. What makes this so awesome is that someone actually made all of this..it's amazing. This video encompasses what a true home haunt should be. Classic, yet unique. Not a hodge-podge of movie crap from the local xMart. These people are creating atmosphere and building a story line. Spine tingling - Creepy - Haunting. The way the movie was shot and edited leaves you wanting more. Your imagination can just run wild and play into what they are offering. Nice to see original live characters. Who wants to see something you have seen 100 times? This one deserves to win. Originality. Dead and Breakfast? Without a doubt the scariest one in the contest, plus creative and interesting. I liked the way the various props were used to lead you on a journey in the a very spooky direction. Well, in my opinion the Revenant House and some of the other entries go strictly by the rules of this contest, quote, "participants will compete to present the MOST ENTERTAINING VIDEO of their houses decorated for Halloween" Just because the name of the contest is THE SCARIEST HAUNTED HOUSE, that doesn't seem to be the only thing that's going to be judged. The Revanant house's creativity,custom props and catchy theme are things that make this house unique and this video ENTERTAINING. Lets just wait to see the outcome on Oct.31 10/24/2007 16:08

Well it is cool, but it really isnt a full on haunted house. Its a graveyard. This contest is about THE SCARIEST HAUNTED HOUSE. And i think if u look at most of the entries everyone has custom props they make, most home haunts do, its a fact. I think everyone needs to view these ALL before saying this one is the best, although its great, its NOT the best in my opinion. 10/24/2007 15:14
After reviewing all the videos, I have to say that Revenant House Dead & Breakfast is the clear winner. There are only two other videos that come close to capturing the essence of what this contest is about. When people take time to build props (and not go out and buy what is cool this year or crap to get a cheap scare...) you know they are dedicated to the art of haunting. This video is the real deal. Revenant House is a true "home haunt", not a semi-professional or charity haunt. With few exceptions, each prop is designed and constructed by our family. Since 2002, we have entertained 300+ TOTs each year and the number keeps growing. Thanks to all who have voted for us! We are inspired by all of the haunts in the competition! 10/24/2007 11:47

I am always forced to go to Haunted Houses during the Halloween Season, too scared. Usually I am ok once I get there but, this is one that I would absolutely refuse to go to......No Way!!!!! It really looks like a graveyead. 10/23/2007 10:39
Our family yard haunt in the Cane River area of Louisiana. This is our sixth year to build props and displays for our "Dead and Breakfast" themed haunt and the "DeVille" family (and victims, er...guests) who reside and repose there. Since developing and building on our story and theme, almost all of our props are custom, and static with extra attention paid to detail. We draw influence from everything from the Haunted Mansion to our favorite classic horror films.
