WHOA!!! You can really rock it out!! I'm not a country man but I AM YOUR FAN!! I have a proposition to make a little cash doing what you do here. email me at rudyf2002@yahoo.com so I can tell you the details. NO STRINGS ATTACHED!! I promise you wont be disappointed. Take care... Rudy 10/26/2007 14:12
Honestly I was surprised to not see you in the top ten? Many girls sang "pitiful me" and no one pulled it off better or with less ease than you. Your voice has that recording quality that others don't have. Keep on keepin' on! 08/19/2007 19:01
Marysol, you have a beautiful voice, and you should have made it into the top 10. The only reason you didn't is because of the mixed up voting system. I feel you will still be heard and seen by the right people, and when you are, you go girl!!!! You're gonna be taking Nashville by storm one day, because YOU truly have what it takes...such an awesome talent! You hang in there, and don't give up.
...Paula 08/19/2007 11:47
your beautiful, if had to guess why they didn't pick you i would say it sounds like your holding back and not projecting your voice almost nasily, i don't know if it is you or your equipment, other than that your tone is appealing and your not pitchy. 08/17/2007 23:10
Marysol...you are still the best vocalist entered in this contest...no doubt about it! Even though the voters here on Bix didn't send you to Nashville, I'm sure you will be contacted by many producers. The exposure you received here will be enough for them to see the quaility of your vocals along with your obvious beauty, style and grace! Personally, I think your style goes way beyond the country sound they'll be looking for anyway! Keep your head up, the right thing will come along for you and it'll all click into place just like it's supposed to...all in His time! ;-) 08/16/2007 14:57
Marysol, I was SURE you were going to make it. I think you deserve a spot in there over at least 3 of the people that were chosen. EVERYONE at BIX knows you are the best and we're all backing you. If Capitol heard you and does not contact you, they need a new talent scout. Keep chasing that dream and never give up. There is a BIG spot in Country music with your name on it--never forget that. Take care and God bless.-Zac 08/15/2007 17:06
I just listened to the top 10 and sorry but i had to laugh ,theres NO reason you shouldnt be there girl !!!!!!!!!! im sure theres alot that feel the same as i do ,keep at it ,theres no doubt in my mind that youll get there !!!! 08/15/2007 16:36
The richness and ease and beauty of your singing is far above all the others. I honestly cannot believe you did not take it all. There is a better plan for you. I feel sure you will receive that call soon that will be your dream come true. I'm ready to buy your cd's! 08/15/2007 05:16
IM WITH YÁLL IM SHOCKED YOU DIDNT MAKE TOP 10 WOW!!! THIS IS AWSOMEEEE GIRL!!!...........:( SORRY BUT IN SURE THEIR BE OTHER CONTEST GIRL YOU ALWAYS YOUR BEST AND KICK ASS !!!...........YOUR VERY TALENTED YOU'LL GET YOUR**WINK* ONE DAY!!! 08/14/2007 10:33
I'm stunned....this just means there's another plan for you. I have every confidence that you will make it big...and SOON! Can't wait to buy your CD! 08/14/2007 09:31
Marysol… I came on here once before and made some smart-ass remark about technical points. I take that back. After listening to the full body of your work here, you kick everyone else's behind to Shanghai. If you didn't make the top ten, there must be a lot of deaf voters. No other woman even came close. I can only say that if you keep at what you're doing, you have no chance of missing. You have beautiful voice, beautiful style and a beautiful smile. Do whatever you have to do to "make it" and you will. 08/13/2007 21:37
Marysol, You not making the top-10 is a discraseful result. Something is terribly wrong (here). I'm shocked, disappointed and upset! I believe in you. You were the best, no matter what Bix says. I'm sure a lot of the other constestants did not vote for you, because they did not want to compete against you. This voting system needs overhauling. 08/13/2007 19:25
...to my #1 pick… Just wait for that next $50,000 contest.. next one is yours, my friend. Leaving you out of this top 10, yes, it was a mistake that some people made… I think some people voted you down to get you out of the way, honestly.. but whatever. I am so confident you will be a true, famous, rich star one day.. and guess what! I can say I kind of knew her back then.. it's coming.. hang tight! (and yep, I still want those front row seats) 08/13/2007 19:17
Wow, I guess you could say Bix and think of Songbird!!! You have really, really taken Bix by surprise and flooded all it's viewers with your beautiful voice!!! You were lead in the first round for a very good reason, your voice says it all! This second round was just crazy and I know that you don't like to try and get votes, which is what the second round was all about, so I'm hoping that you still get in that top ten, because you definitely have the talent to make it big :D Good Luck to you Girl and I wish you the Best :) 08/07/2007 16:23
The more I listen to songbird82 (Bix/Capitol Contest & other sites) the more amazed (and in awe) I am of her beautful voice and striking presence. Top-10 (no doubt), perhaps the best. Great, great stuff. 08/05/2007 08:37
Marysol,i know your laying low and thats healthy to keep sane. but you be proud of your work I know im just enjoying the heck out of you Girl. just a great country Artist talk to you later hun 08/03/2007 22:07
Hi, I started voting on bix during round one of this contest. I was interested because three singers who I have worked with were in round one. I just wanted to say that I liked your awesome voice so much that I checked out all your songs and they are amazing! Though I am a Country music fan, your accapella performance was absolutely gorgeous! From a pure vocal standpoint you are probably the most talented vocalist in the entire competition! I hope you go to Nashville because you deserve it. That is not an oppinion. That is a fact!!! 08/02/2007 23:05
Hey pretty songbird! First of all, I feel confident you are going to Nashville. If not through this (but I feel good vibes for you) then somehow and soon. You ARE a star, you are magic woman. For real, there are so many people online who love you and your voice and I hope for so many great things for you. I do for all of us in the contest, but I'm glad to have you as a friend. You're awesome girlfriend. :) 08/02/2007 11:47
hey girl..you goin' to the Oregon Jamboree in Sweet Home?...if you go check out my friend..Dale Watson… Sun Aug. 5th...if you go let me know...I'll get you a couple Backstage passes… 08/02/2007 10:42

Marysol, I was going to stop voting since I hated choosing between you and abbi h. But you're in (some) close matchups, so I'm back at it. There's no justice (here)if you don't make Top-10. I'll (just) alternate my votes your matchups Vs. abbi h. I'm also supporting abbymae, dodge, Brodie and a few others as much as I can. Good Luck! 07/31/2007 23:18
Marysol, this song was a great choice for you :) I love your smile and that voice....well, you are pitch perfect and I can't wait to hear your debut album!! ~AWESOME~ 07/31/2007 07:18
I'm listening to your songs for long time now.The day that we will meet is not far away..I have created a cd with your songs and let me tell you this young lady. You have a talent...you are great singer with a fantastic crystal voice....but in this world you need help to get what you deserve....and that help will come from us....your friends...so trust yourself...respect yourself and us as well...and make your dream...OUR DREAM...become true… 07/30/2007 18:01
Amazing!! I'm glad you're from the great state of Oregon cuz you're representing. I think you need to win this contest. You're by far the best. 07/29/2007 21:59
Marysol, you are my #1 female artist in this contest. Your voice is so versatile, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL, PURE FROM THE HEART!!! I'm just waiting for that first CD to come out, because it will be "PRICELESS" ~ Joe 07/19/2007 21:23
WOW!! MARYSOL. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FEMALE SINGER HERE!!I WOULD JUST LOVE TO BUY A CD WHEN YOU MAKE IT!! AND EVEN IF NASHVILLE DOESNT TURN OUT FOR YOU,PLEASE PUSUE YOUR CAREER IN SINGING, BECAUSE YOU SHOULD BE MAKING RECORDS SOMEWHERE!! GOOD LUCK SEE YOU IN NASHVILLE!! 07/19/2007 14:10
You can sing really great! This song really suits your voice. Keep singing and you will go far because you have an outstanding voice!!!
~*Macy*~ 07/19/2007 13:53
Hi Marysol, After listening to PPPM, more times through, I've changed my mind about an (earlier) assesment. While "Walkaway Joe" is my favorite (fantastic!). PPPM is quite good as well. I've grown to like it. You're as "commercial" as anyone (here), in my opinion. You should make top-10. My computer stopped loging votes at 233. I've voted much more. My ranking doesn't reflect that I'm voting for you (almost) every time now. Good Luck! 07/19/2007 10:32
hey Marysol!!! wow!! super video!! You belong to recording studios and will be a BIG STAR someday!! This is just FLAWLESS!! Standing Ovation!! you got our support all the way!!! :) paulo 07/18/2007 20:59
I had to come back and have another listen. This just sounds so wonderful, and even better than Terri Clark sings it. And i think the video shows your stage presence, which is awesome!! :) still in my top 10! HUGS, ~Linda. 07/18/2007 20:53
I see so many comments comparing you to Jewel. No way! She would love to have your voice. Simply angelic!! You got what it takes. Good Luck!! 07/18/2007 08:32
You have outstanding quality to your voice don't let yourself get caught up in the petty critisizm, take it and use it as a very sharp tool, there are no perfect performances just incredible ones and yours is just that. Go for it all the way! 07/17/2007 09:14
Marysol...Had to come back and take a listen...Your sound continues to impress me...I certainly appreciate the level of talent you bring to the table...PL 07/16/2007 17:55
man....all these comments below are so true woman!!! Well at least the ones that say how talented and lovely you are! YOu know I love ya to pcs....and got ya in my top 10!!! 07/15/2007 17:31
You are so beautiful Marysol. And you have an amazing voice. You are also a very nice person. This was an awesome performance. You are too cute!! Loved the vocal, and you looked and sounded amazing!! Can't wait until the results!!! 07/15/2007 17:23
You have more talent in your toenail clippings than half the people that have record deals. I sort of found it interesting about the discussion of smiling vs. not smiling. This song is a satire. No one actually goes and lays their head on a railroad track, at least not when the train don't come through there no more. Your performance needs to be examined a bit more closely. Yes, you sang this song with a serious look on your face, because it is a serious subject. However, it is serious subject presented in a humorous way. SO, accordingly, you put on your serious face, however, a careful examination of your performance shows every once in a while you sneak in a little smile, acknowledging the subtle underlying humor. Not only did you sing this well, you interpreted the song well, you show that you recognize the complexity of the message, and that you also appreciate the lighter side of the song. You're a pro Marysol, that's not brag, that's just a fact. -Fatal Dog 07/15/2007 14:33
I'll have to disagree on the comments that you don't sound "country" enough. I think these days that the sound of country is so expansive that there is room for all kinds of vocalists. But I hear a lot of comparisons to you and Jewel and she's really considered more folk than anything (not to mention the fact that she did a country album, herself) and, in my opinion, folk resembles country more closely than it resembles any other genre. But I come from the school of thought that, if you feel it, then sing it...and sing it *how* you feel it. When I sing, I'm not trying to sound a certain way or appeal to a certain audience...I'm just singing it the way I naturally feel it. And if you *truly* feel it, that emotion will supercede any genre and you'll fit right in wherever you go. 07/15/2007 11:26
Don't listen to the two idiots… they are just jealous of your incredible talent. One just likes to get a rise out of people and the other is just dumb. 07/15/2007 10:46
Even though you are not really country, you have awesome pitch and vocal delivery. I am not really fond of your tone and you seem to get lazy with pronunciation at times, but you have should be in the running for this contest! 07/14/2007 21:27
Marysol!!! This is wonderful!! You really surprised me with this entry! You truly can sing anything!! You captured the style perfectly! I also loved the way you made eye contact with the camera...you look and sound beautiful!! I just know we're going to be hearing you on the radio and buying your CD's in the near future!! Great job!! I'm rooting for you! Kathy 07/14/2007 17:51
You're excellent - even though some of the better talent is getting lower percentages - makes me wonder what's wrong with people's ears - don't get discouraged - I think the scores got off to a strange start. If people vote for raw talent, you'll be in the top 10!! 07/13/2007 18:36
Great vocals. You are very talented. Keep doing what you are doing and you will make it to Nashville or whatever genre you decide to choose. Checked out your myspace too, great! 07/13/2007 15:54
Another quickie… you're fabulous. A suggestion: When you're having problems with the low part of your range (e.g., "lord, have mercy on me"), but you still clearly have room on the top… raise the key by step or two. But, again, these are the minor details. Your time isn't way off, and the low notes didn't sound that bad. I definitely DO think that you could be showing something more than cute/sexy in this song, if you wanted to. I can sense you've got a lot of depth that didn't come across here, but probably will any other time. 07/13/2007 15:39
First, you have a wonderful natural singing voice, great intonation and dynamics. You're also naturally beautiful in a way quite different from other beautiful women in C&W and you complement that beauty with a sexy sensuality that could take you a long way in the recording industry. You need to work on your sense of tempo and phrasing; you have a tendency to rush in a bit, and to chew up some of the lyrics. I also think that you could've gotten a bit deeper read on this particular song by going back to the original Warren Zevon version. I don't get the sense that you did, but perhaps I'm wrong. In other words, I heard you singing… but I didn't feel you feeling. 07/13/2007 15:31
You are so diverse..this is awesome..you got my vote and best of fortune to you in this contest..you are a talent to be reconed with...Linda-Ca 07/13/2007 15:18
I enjoyed both your voice and emotion. I agree that this is not a smiling song. I've seen people sing this song with huge smiles on their faces and it really bothered me. I didn't feel the words. With you I sympathized with what you were singing. Great job! 07/13/2007 14:52
Songbird, that was amazing. Personality. Poise. Consistency. Very strong voice. The only note I would make is that you shouldn't be afraid to make your own style shine through, rather than staying so close to the original recording style. You showcased your vocal talents, and they are awesome. I'd like to hear a little more of "you" in the performance though. 07/13/2007 14:25
Wow! You sing like a pro! I don't listen to much country more than Gretchen Wilson and Sugarland, but this is amazing! You can totally win that Talent competition! Good luck! *DVS* :-) <3 07/13/2007 14:18
You're beautiful but you need to SMILE MORE!!!
Smile when you sing it and your fans will feel your smile in the song.A fellow pro artist. 07/13/2007 14:11
GREAT JOB!! I am going to vote for you 100% And the lordsamorai shouldnt have said that I bet he cant sing. He is just wasting his time.. 07/13/2007 13:51
Lordsamorai, you should be ashamed of yourself for your comment. Dont be mad because you could never have a woman as pretty and as talented as this girl. You dont even know her and you would say such discusting things. You must be a very unhappy and pitful person to be so hateful and crued for no reason at all. You need a good slap in the face and kick in the balls. And Terri dont ever listen to a a-hole as this guy. He is nothing more than a sad little loser. You are wonderful and I voted for you. 07/13/2007 13:48
Very well done! Work on making a style of your own to set yourself apart in a very tough industry. You have natural beauty and a great smile. A bonus of course. Don't try to "be" Sara Evans, but your own "new" star. Keep it up!! 07/13/2007 13:43
Wow...I have heard you on here and on SingSnap and you are amazing. I am sure you here it a lot. I hope it doesn't get old. You are wonderful. :-) 07/12/2007 20:58
Well look at u go, I'm impressed big time, u came, u performed and conquered it totally. Whao… WTG young lady.. Woo Hoo U go girl.. Alright.. Marysol.. xxx :o) 07/11/2007 16:48
Marysol this is gorgeous...it's so nice to watch you perform, you are such a natural...Beautiful, beautiful job!! I really enjoyed this!! :D 07/11/2007 11:42
I totally loved the way you sang this. I like your sassy little personality in this. I love the way you sing country. Good Luck on this contest, if anyone deserves it, you do. Go for it. I'm anxious to buy your CD when you release it.....Linda
07/11/2007 11:22
Another surprise in song choice. I never imagined you doing this song in about 10 thousand years.:) You kicked it up and notch and it really sounds great. I admit that I love your slow songs and operatic things so much that it's hard to hear you singing country, but you deserve a record contract so much. I hope you get your dream. You are fantastic. 07/11/2007 09:04
yeah..what he said! :) You are no doubt one of the best voices I have heard and I am very pleasantly survived at the change in your style and tone for this one! This video and fresh and awesome! 07/11/2007 05:22
Holy cow, for a member of the Dog's House you are the cat's meow. You simply smacked that way over the fence and out of the ball park. What I like the most is that you really let your personality shine through on this. You had a lot of fun with this song. It is obvious you are very comfortable and confident. You totally SOLD it. From listening to this entry no one would ever guess that you can sing opera just as beautifully as you do country. I can't imagine a better entry! Go get 'em tiger! -Fatal Dog 07/10/2007 22:42
I haven't gotten to your entry to vote on it yet..but I think this is the first time I have heard you sing a faster more upbeat song...and you NAILED IT...you go girl 07/10/2007 21:51
